Kentucky was still a decent team, just not an elite one. The fall wasn’t as bad as many would have you believe. Too many compromises on the level of players the Wildcats were used to running out, and without the elite guard play they were used to, and virtually no preseason to put the pieces together, Kentucky was just. ![]() On top of that there hasn’t been an elite level interior player for several cycles. The recruiting was good, but instead of landing elite lottery level players, UK was running out mere late first or 2nd round players.
